Pedigree Cattle is an amalgamation of ideas from Donall O Connor and Micheal O Donnell; an idea that was born from the frustration of travelling the country looking for bulls not knowing what they were going to view. Their aim is for the development of the website as an advertising medium and a source for both Pedigree and Organic cattle in Ireland and the UK.

Both from farming backgrounds in Clare and Limerick, Donall and Micheal met in Mountbellew Agri College, where they both graduated with a Diploma in Agri Business Rural Development and an Honors Degree in Business Studies in 2005. Pedigreecattle.ie was selected as one of eleven entrepreneurs to participated in the LEAP programme in Limerick Institute of Technology. The website was launched at the National Ploughing Championships in Kilkenny in September 2008.

Pedigree Cattle recently pitched their business on Rte's Dragons Den programme on Feb 19th last. We are delighted to announce that we were the first business to receive investment in Ireland. Two fantastic and accomplished entrepreneurs have invested in our business namely Sean Gallagher and Gavin Duffy.

Seán is probably best known as the founder of Smarthomes, and is now one of Ireland's leading entrepreneurs, whose own background in agri-business will be extremely useful in the development of Pedigree Cattle. Gavin's experience in Marketing and PR is invaluable to our business. Gavin also has an excellent understanding of Pedigree cattle sector which is extremely important as our business develops.
